Ascension Respiratory Therapist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Ascension Saint Agnes in Baltimore, Maryland. As a key member of our respiratory therapy department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our hospital.

About the Job

This is a full-time 12-hour night shift position with every 5th weekend (Friday & Saturday night). You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to evaluate patients with respiratory insufficiencies, develop individualized care plans, and implement advanced respiratory care modalities.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients' needs and create comprehensive treatment plans to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Implement and monitor respiratory care plans, including ventilator management and oxygen therapy
  • Monitor patient condition, record progress, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory health, disease management, and available community resources
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross within 1 month of hire date
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner credential from the Maryland Board of Physicians prior to hire date
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) prior to hire date
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation preferred
