Senior & Long Term Care Division Administrator

The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the Senior and Long Term Care Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, administering, and providing publicly-funded long-term care services for Montana's senior citizens and individuals with physical disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement innovative approaches to address the needs of Montana seniors and individuals with disabilities.
  • Manage programs for seniors under the federal Older Americans Act and provide adult protective services for vulnerable senior citizens and individuals with disabilities.
  • Oversee the state supplement to federal SSI payments system and plan for and educate the public about long-term care issues and services.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of long-term care services and support.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, public, hospital, or health administration; human services; health-care services; or a directly related field.
  • Seven or more years of senior-level management and supervisory experience of large programs with substantial staff and budgets and specific experience with Medicaid or Medicare.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in business, public, hospital, or health administration; human services; health-care services; or a directly related field.
  • Five or more years of senior-level management and supervisory experience of large programs with substantial staff and budgets and experience with Medicaid or Medicare.
