Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced IT professional to join our team at Leidos as a Tier 2 Service Desk/Systems Administrator. This role will be responsible for providing system maintenance, performance optimization, and user support services for our Linux systems.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Responding quickly to system anomalies and making configuration updates to ensure 99.999% system availability.
  • Analyzing Linux log data to administer and maintain Oracle Identity and Access Management stack.
  • Monitoring system performance and taking corrective actions as required.
  • Designing, developing, and implementing new application monitoring software and customizing existing tools.
  • Investigating and resolving user application access issues.
  • Resolving name change issues by updating system directory/LDAP with attribute changes.
  • Documenting incidents, workarounds, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Performing system checkouts and testing of system upgrades and patches.
  • Coordinating with enterprise partners on system outages and making decisions on system failover.
  • Representing the program in supporting consumer or mission partner maintenance activities.
  • Coordinating communications with End Users, Tier 1, Tier 3, Management, mission partners, and Government Leadership.
  • Reviewing and reporting meaningful metrics.
  • Producing written guides and operational procedures on software tools and custom Linux scripts.
Basic Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A BS degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience or additional years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • TS/SCI with Polygraph required.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software and IT concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as an integral member of a team.
  • Linux/UNIX experience.
  • Ability to work in a Panama shift schedule, including weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:

The following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Oracle IdAM products (OAM, OIF, OID, OVD, OUD, OIM).
  • WebLogic.
  • Strong Linux/UNIX experience.
  • LDAPs.
  • PKI authentication.
