Adelphi Medical Staffing, LLC is seeking a skilled psychiatrist to provide psychiatric services on a needs basis at various facilities in south central Kentucky. This role involves conducting routine and emergency examinations on patients, providing in-patient psychiatric treatment, and making recommendations for the treatment of behavioral or psychiatric disorders.

The ideal candidate should possess knowledge in psychopharmacology and psychiatric chemotherapy, with a minimum of 3 years of experience. A valid Kentucky license and board eligibility or certification in psychiatry are also required.

This is a contract position that offers competitive pay, with an estimated annual salary of $200,000-$300,000 based on location and experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in incident review meetings, clinical staff meetings, and other pertinent staff meetings as needed.

The psychiatrist will also be expected to provide written notations for Medicare and/or Medicaid, as well as telephone interviews with private insurance companies as needed. Additionally, they will be responsible for documenting treatment provided and tests administered in appropriate formats on required forms on each visit to the facility.

A strong understanding of psychopharmacology and psychiatric chemotherapy is essential for this role, as is the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach to care.
