Job Title: LPN - PRNJob Summary:

The LPN - PRN is a key member of our team at Athletico Physical Therapy, responsible for coordinating health care for employees in our onsite clinic. This position requires strong clinical and administrative skills, with a focus on providing exceptional care and ensuring compliance with medical surveillance programs.

Responsibilities:Clinical Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications as prescribed by a physician
  • Take vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and weight
  • Provide basic wound care, including cleaning and bandaging injured areas
  • Administer injections of medication
  • Perform immunizations
  • Take medical histories
  • Enter information into computer systems
  • Manage IVs
  • Monitor fluid/food intake and output
  • Move patients safely
  • Assess patients' reactions to medications
Administrative Responsibilities:
  • Schedule appointments
  • Keep medical records current
  • Write prescriptions at a physician's request
  • Provide guidance to onsite personnel at local clinics/client locations
  • Assist with day-to-day issues and escalate accordingly to the Director of Operations and HR
  • Manage all aspects of the Occupational Health Services Program
  • Train and educate employees in health-related matters
  • Prepare and supervise the clinic/patient interaction of the Overseeing Physician as necessary
  • Maintain charts and employee records
  • Case management of workman's compensation claims
  • Maintain current case log for workplace injuries, outlining treatment plan for weekly case review
  • Ensure compliance with the OSHA and DOT programs, such as hearing conservation, blood-borne pathogen training, random drug screening, and follow-up programs
  • Maintain and update the OSHA log monthly
Requirements:
  • Valid state LPN license
  • 3+ years of nursing experience (required)
  • 2+ years of occupational health experience (preferred)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Strong administrative and management skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality
  • Experience in developing health/wellness programs and performing ergonomic assessments
  • Strong knowledge of workers' compensation case management and regulations
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA, ADA, FMLA, and OSHA regulations
  • Familiarity with manufacturing and production facility practices
  • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Position may require proof of COVID-19 vaccination
