Imaging Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Imaging Technologist to join our team at Northwell Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating x-ray and auxiliary equipment, processing images, and administering IV contrast. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Operate x-ray and auxiliary equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Administer IV contrast and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Process images and verify their quality in the Picture Archival and Communication System (PACS)
- Interface with patients, staff, and physicians to facilitate efficient and effective care
- Maintain accurate records and schedules procedures as necessary
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program
- New York State Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registered Technologist (R.T.) certification
- Minimum of two (2) years experience as a Radiology Technologist
- Competency in one of the following modalities: CT, MRI, or Special Procedures
Frequently lifts or moves objects, occasionally carries objects weighing up to 50 pounds, frequently pushes patients or objects up to 200 pounds, and occasionally moves with assistance patients or objects greater than 150 pounds.
