Area Director

Best Buddies International is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to fill the role of Area Director. This position will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive regional plan to secure sustainable funding and oversee day-to-day operations in local offices.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising, program management, and team leadership. They will be responsible for collaborating with the State Director to develop and implement a local strategy for securing funding, managing regional fundraising activities, and overseeing the implementation of programs and events.
The Area Director will also be responsible for managing local Advisory Boards, developing and implementing major fundraising events, and researching grant opportunities. They will work closely with local staff to set realistic and strategic goals, provide guidance and motivation, and hold them accountable for meeting these goals.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with donors, volunteers, and staff. They will be a strategic thinker with a proven ability to develop and implement effective plans, and will be committed to the mission and values of Best Buddies International.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive regional plan to secure sustainable funding
