Norman Regional Health System is a renowned healthcare provider nestled in the heart of Oklahoma. We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Rad Technologist to join our team of dedicated professionals.
About the Role
This position involves working in our state-of-the-art Cath Lab suites, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety. You will be responsible for preparing equipment, assessing patient conditions, and maintaining a sterile environment. As a key member of our team, you will also serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, sharing your expertise and knowledge to support their growth and development.
Responsibilities
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures, ensuring seamless workflow and optimal results.
- Assess patient conditions, providing personalized care and attention to meet their unique needs.
- Establish and maintain a sterile environment, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines to ensure patient safety.
- Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, facilitating their learning and development through hands-on training and mentorship.
- Use downtime effectively, stocking rooms, checking equipment, and completing other delegated tasks as assigned by Charge person or manager.
Requirements
- Completion of 24-month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligibility and/or current RCIS certification.
- Previous Procedural Area experience preferred, but not required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current BLS required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment. ACLS training must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained throughout employment.
