Aramark Student Nutrition provides food and nutrition services to over 350 school districts in the U.S. This includes public and private education institutions that are offered a variety of dining options such as breakfast and lunch programs, after-school snacks, catering, nutrition education and retail operations.

About the Role

As an Operations Director, you will plan, manage, and guide multiple contracted services for a client generating $15M in revenue to meet operating and financial goals, client objectives, and customer needs. Depending on the client, services can include food service, facility support, custodial services, retail, lodging, transportation, and more.

  • You will lead a team providing operational expertise in contracted services while providing hands-on execution management of operations.
  • Manage client and community relationships at the location, continually assessing operations, and developing plans to provide optimal service and drive employee and customer satisfaction.
  • Built, develop, and lead a management team and staff capable of carrying out organizational objectives.
  • Recommend methods, resources, and implementation for service improvement and growth based on operational needs/capabilities.
  • In partnership with Finance, manage a budget and assist in the design of improvements to optimize financial performance and operational productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and codes and maintain all associated records and reports.

This role requires a strong ability to focus on client and customer services, entrepreneurship, and building and growing a strong business. It also demands savvy interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with clients, senior management, and Aramark support staff.

Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree level education required.
  • Prior K-12/Student Nutrition Experience highly preferred in the area of Food Service.
  • The ability to lead through other managers and experience in creating and managing a department budget, financial controls, and analysis is essential.
  • This role may have physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Estimated salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year based on the location and experience.
