Cytotechnologist - Anatomic Pathology Core Lab Specialist

The Cytotechnologist in Anatomic Pathology Core Lab examines cytology cases microscopically, identifies and marks appropriate cells, and renders the correct diagnosis of each case. This role makes the final diagnosis on gynecologic samples evaluated as negative, with changes of and including moderate cervicitis.
Key Responsibilities:
Examine cytology cases microscopically and identify appropriate cells
Render the correct diagnosis of each case
Make the final diagnosis on gynecologic samples evaluated as negative, with changes of and including moderate cervicitis
Requirements:
Certified as a Cytotechnologist by the American Society for Clinical Pathology within 6 months of employment in position
Current CT (ASCP) certification
Bachelor Degree in Health Science (Cytotechnology Track) or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
One (1) year of clinical work experience as a Cytotechnologist
Masters Degree in Cytotechnology or Clinical Lab Science from an accredited program
Working Conditions:
Prolonged sitting, Repetitive motion
Lifting less than 20 lbs.
