Medical Records Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Medical Records Specialist to join our team at The Ravens Group, Inc.
Salary: $28.83 per hour (Plus health & welfare benefit of $4.93 per hour paid in cash)
Location: Columbus, Ohio
About the RoleThe Medical Records Specialist will maintain medical records of hospital and clinic patients, reviewing them for completeness and accuracy. This includes coding diseases, operations, diagnoses, and treatments, as well as compiling medical care and census data for statistical reports.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of practical experience in medical records management and administration with a focus on medical program management.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Review records for completeness and accuracy
- Code diseases, operations, diagnoses, and treatments
- Compile medical care and census data for statistical reports
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 2 years of practical experience in medical records management and administration with a special focus on medical program management
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Familiarity with government directives and regulations, such as OSHA 1910.1030 and HIPAA
- Ability to work in an office environment and obtain blood-borne pathogen training
