Overview

QBE Americas, Inc. is a leading provider of insurance solutions in the United States. We are currently seeking an experienced Executive Leader to join our team and contribute to the growth and development of our profitable insurance portfolio.

Salary Range: $212,000 - $398,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Role

This role involves providing strategic leadership and management to develop and execute business plans that drive profitable growth and maximize efficiency. The successful candidate will be responsible for underwriting insurance risks, managing resources effectively, and overseeing the country's P&L for designated business lines within the organization.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement annual business plans to achieve strategic objectives and drive profitable growth.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams to ensure effective execution of business plans and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Underwrite insurance risks in accordance with the business plan and personal authority.
  • Contribute to the review and analysis of the portfolio to identify new business opportunities and optimize performance.
  • Ensure accurate recording of entries on Division systems for data integrity.
  • Manage team performance fairly and in line with the performance process.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Significant relevant experience in insurance underwriting and portfolio management.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in leading cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to make informed decisions.
  • Tertiary degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
