About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Respiratory Therapist to join our team at VCU Medical Center Main Hospital. As a respiratory therapist in our NICU, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  • Provide critical care services to neonates and infants in the NICU setting
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Conduct diagnostic tests and procedures, including respiratory function studies and ventilator management
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitor patients' conditions and respond to changes or emergencies

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

">
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as a respiratory therapist in a critical care setting
  • Valid licensure in Virginia or a compact state; 30-day work authorization accepted if licensure is secured timely
  • EPIC charting experience preferred; BSN also desired
  • Ability to float within scope as needed and willingness to comply with natural nail policy
