Job Overview

Northwestern Memorial Healthcare seeks a highly skilled Facilities Engineer III to join its Plant Operations team. This part-time position requires excellent mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and operate building mechanical systems and equipment, including high-pressure boilers, chillers, and medical air compressors.
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting to ensure efficient and safe operation of equipment.
  • Collaborate with contractors and vendors to resolve repair and maintenance issues.
  • Assign tasks and oversee staff in the absence of the Manager.

Requirements:

  • 7 years of experience in building maintenance and repair, including high-pressure boilers and refrigeration/electrical/automation systems.
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Licensed as a Stationary Engineer (SE) or equivalent.
  • Valid state driver's license with acceptable driving record.
