Early Childhood Development Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Early Childhood Development Specialist to join our team at the Puget Sound Educational Service District. In this role, you will provide comprehensive child development, family support, and health services to infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, while promoting healthy relationships between children and their families.

About the Job

This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary range of $54,749.00 - $71,836.00 annually. The ideal candidate will have experience in early childhood education and child development programs, as well as a strong understanding of cultural competence and racial equity principles. Key Responsibilities
  • Assess family and infant/toddler or preschooler needs through regular home visits and administer developmental screenings to develop individual action plans.
  • Provide guidance and support to families in arranging transportation to center activities and community appointments.
  • Conduct weekly home visits to collaborate with families in supporting their child's health and development.
  • Implement socialization groups and coordinate events that promote active participation in learning activities for children.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Associate's degree or higher in human services, social services, family services, or counseling; or a related degree and 30 or more job-related credits.
  • Experience in ECE or child and family development programs serving pregnant women, infants, and toddlers.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in child/youth development and growth, community and family engagement, group facilitation, planning, organization, and prioritization, teamwork, antiracist leadership competencies, cultural proficiency, racial equity advocate, racial equity mindset, and transformational values.
