Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Representative to join our team at Rutland Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our emergency management process, you will be responsible for answering and connecting all incoming organization calls to the requested areas.

Transferring clinical and support staff calls to desired destinations is also a crucial aspect of this role, ensuring continuity of patient care. You will obtain additional and/or relevant information from callers to determine appropriate call destinations.

This position operates as a vital after-hour care representative for clinical offices, taking messages for both urgent and non-urgent matters and dispatching them as requested by individual offices.

Responsibilities
  • Answer and connect all incoming organization calls to the requested areas
  • Transfer clinical and support staff calls to desired destinations for continuity of patient care
  • Obtain additional and/or relevant information from callers to determine appropriate call destinations
  • Operate as a key member of the emergency management process
  • Dispatch teams in a clear, accurate, and calm manner to respond to emergencies
  • Function as an after-hour care representative for clinical offices
  • Taking messages for both urgent and non-urgent matters and dispatching them as requested by individual offices
Requirements

  • Demonstrated excellent verbal communication skills including active listening
  • Demonstrated strong reading comprehension, spelling, and grammar skills
  • Ability to handle high call volume professionally, efficiently, and confidentially
  • Good organization, prioritization skills, and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt swiftly to changing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm during emergency situations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.)
Compensation

The estimated salary range for this position is $15.34 - $22.77 per hour, with potential differential rates available for evening, night, and weekend shifts.

A competitive rate of $4.25 for evenings, $8.00 for nights, and $4.75 for weekends may be applicable depending on your schedule.
