We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our Radiology Team at The University of Vermont Health Network. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to work in a welcoming environment with strong commitment to teamwork and cross-training opportunities.

The successful candidate will perform routine, complex, and highly technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in the application of high-frequency ultrasonic waves to humans for diagnosis of disease. This role involves using advanced equipment and technology to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform sonographic examinations on patients of all ages using a variety of ultrasound modalities
  • Operate and maintain advanced imaging equipment including ultrasound machines and scanners
  • Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, and position them correctly for optimal image capture
  • Analyze images and collaborate with radiologists to provide accurate diagnoses and recommendations for patient care
  • Develop and implement effective strategies for reducing radiation exposure and improving patient comfort during exams

Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivalent required; degree in Radiologic Technology or related field preferred
  • ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) certification required; ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification preferred
  • Minimum 2 years experience in vascular, OB, and small part sonography; experience in other modalities also beneficial
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with diverse teams and patients

  • Competitive salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year based on experience and qualifications
