Job Summary:

The Psychiatric Institute of Washington is seeking a skilled Milieu Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to children and adolescents from the ages of 5-18 years of age and adults.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to patients in accordance with the philosophy and standards of practice defined by the Nursing Department.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans that address self-care limitations in behavior and interpersonal functioning.
• Direct and guide activities of paraprofessional staff in the implementation of nursing care plans.

Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Current license to practice nursing in the District of Columbia; Current CPR certification.

Preferred:
One year experience working in psychiatric inpatient or residential setting with adolescents or children ages 10-17 and adults.
