Respiratory Therapist Position in Concord, North Carolina

Atrium Health Charlotte is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join their team in Concord, North Carolina.
Job DescriptionThis position involves providing direct respiratory care according to physician orders and approved protocols. The successful candidate will be responsible for consulting with physicians on the effectiveness of therapy and making recommendations as needed.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of various modes and methods of oxygen delivery and be able to maintain and monitor cardiopulmonary life support equipment. They will also be responsible for administering therapeutic procedures, understanding their purpose and benefits, and possible effects associated with each.
The selected candidate will work independently in patient care areas, assist co-workers as needed, and be proficient in electronic medical records. They will also follow departmental safety guidelines and complete annual proficiency evaluations of respiratory care equipment and procedures.
RequirementsTo be considered for this role, candidates must possess an associate's degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent, be credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care, and be licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state of North Carolina.
BLS certification is required, and advanced certifications may be necessary depending on facility policy. A minimum of 2 years' critical care experience is preferred for certain positions.
