Pharmacist Professional

This position requires extensive collaboration with medical staff, nursing service, and non-hospital personnel to provide high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of hospital policies and government regulations, as well as the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

• Dispense, procure, control, and consult on pharmaceuticals, ensuring compliance with USP 795, USP 797, and USP 800 standards.
• Supervise and direct support personnel, promoting a positive perception of the department.
• Consult with physicians and nursing staff regarding patient reactions, errors, and complaints.
• Utilize critical thinking skills and decisive judgment to evaluate orders, make recommendations for therapy, and manage therapy through protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including maintaining department and hospital records, and entering accurate information into the electronic health record.

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy.
• Registration with the Mississippi State Board of Pharmacy.
• Current Controlled Substance Registration in the State of Mississippi by the MS State Board of Pharmacy.
