Job Summary

The University of Miami is seeking a highly skilled Imaging Equipment Engineer 3 to join our team. As a key member of our clinical engineering team, you will be responsible for the installation, inspection, troubleshooting, repairs, calibration, and verification of medical imaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the installation, inspection, and troubleshooting of medical imaging equipment
  • Perform repairs, calibration, and verification of equipment performance
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and oversee inventory management
  • Advise UHealth personnel on technical matters concerning specialty equipment
  • Address and resolve challenging and critical technical issues with imaging equipment
  • Conduct performance assurance inspections and operation verification procedures
  • Inform supervisors of repair status, scheduled inspections, and customer concerns
  • Partner with subcontractors, vendors, and outside service technicians to ensure proper service delivery
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends
  • Display Clinical Engineering expertise through ongoing training and education of staff and other personnel
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in a relevant field
  • Certification in a relevant specialty or field (Siemens highly preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant recent experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
  • Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships
  • Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems
  • Valid driver's license
  • Proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and train others
