Human Resources Assistant

Indiana Public Retirement System (INPRS) is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Human Resources team as an intern. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative support to the HR Department, assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and HR-related projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with job applicant review, phone screens, and interview scheduling.
- Administer applicant questionnaires, PI assessments, and correspondence letters.
- Contribute to recruitment sourcing and HR metrics.
- Support new employee orientation activities.
- Maintain employment records, filing systems, and departmental records.
Requirements:
- Maintain HR confidentiality.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized and structured, with attention to detail.
- Able to multitask and manage multiple projects.
- Effective interface with internal and external customers.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year in an accredited college pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
