Job Summary

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the Department of Juvenile Justice Health Services. As a LPN, you will be responsible for delivering patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will guide patient teaching, nursing activities, and ancillary personnel, promoting a customer-friendly environment and providing superior service to our youth, facility staff, family, and outside vendors.

Responsibilities

Under the general direction of the Lead Nurse, you will be responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

You will guide patient teaching, nursing activities, and ancillary personnel, promoting a customer-friendly environment and providing superior service to our youth, facility staff, family, and outside vendors.

Requirements

Licensed as an LPN in the State of Georgia.

1 year of previous experience in a clinical setting.

Good organizational and decision-making skills; good physical and mental health; able to work under pressure; must relate well to patients, security staff, visitors, and co-workers.

Preferred Qualifications

2 or more years of previous experience in a clinical setting.

Correctional clinical experience.
