American Repair Center Technician I

The Role:
As an American Repair Center Technician I, you will provide troubleshooting, repairs, and adjustments for electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. Your goal will be to provide customers with the fastest turnaround time and uncompromised quality repairs. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to an organization committed to and focused on improving product and process quality through continuous improvement, Lean, and other problem-solving techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate production line machinery, including manual, automatic, and semi-automatic equipment, and computers.
- Perform repairs to print heads and machines while ensuring to build quality into your work and meet daily standards.
- Complete daily production logs and required reporting.
- Clean and maintain your work area daily and support 6'S and Lean activities.
- May generate and be exposed to, collect, move, use, store hazardous waste or prepare documents related to hazardous waste management.
Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED.
- Ability to read, write, and follow written instructions in English.
- Basic electrical knowledge and troubleshooting/diagnostic ability. Soldering skills preferred but not required.
- Mechanical knowledge following detailed instructions to assemble and repair print heads in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and dexterity with the ability to handle very small components and use small hand tools such as crimpers, strippers, wrenches, screwdrivers, tweezers, and pliers; automatic and semi-automatic repair tools and equipment.
- Good vision and ability to distinguish between colors.
- Frequent standing, sitting, kneeling, bending, and/or lifting. Pulling up to 25 pounds.
