Ambulatory Care Leader

Seeking a talented Nurse Clinical Coordinator to join our University of Iowa Community Clinics team in Bettendorf, IA.
About the RoleThis is a salaried position located in Iowa City and surrounding clinic locations. The successful candidate will provide nursing leadership and oversight for Family Medicine, Dermatology, Endo, and Outreach patient care populations. As a clinical nurse expert, you will facilitate communications between medical staff, management, patients, and families to deliver exceptional customer service.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Assisting with new initiatives, such as launching new service lines, expanding clinics, and adding new providers.
- Collaborating with nursing, medical staff, and other health professionals to plan, deliver, and evaluate care for primary and specialty patient populations.
- Leading nursing personnel in providing specialized patient procedures and care management plans.
- Participating in evidence-based projects within the specialty area and collaborating with the appropriate CPL or NPL staff member to implement practice changes.
- Providing specialized health education to patients and health profession students.
- Adheres to internal and regulatory policies and guidelines.
- Creating clinic staffing schedules and representing the clinic at daily staffing huddles.
- Troubleshooting and managing facility issues in real-time.
The University of Iowa Community Clinics (UICC) provides comprehensive care to the Iowa communities through 38 community clinics, including Quick Cares and Urgent Care, Primary Medicine, and multiple Specialties.
As a member of the UICC team, you will be part of an organization that delivers care outside of the hospital setting and gives the community a sense of care whenever they need it most.
Benefits and CompensationThis position comes with a generous benefits package, including double retirement match, paid vacation to start, and paid sick leave. The estimated annual salary for this role is $60,000-$80,000 based on experience and qualifications.

RequirementsTo be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- A Baccalaureate degree in Nursing is required.
- 1-3 years of nursing experience is required.
- Valid license to practice nursing in the state of Iowa is required.
- Excellent organization and time management skills are essential.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Internet is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
- Driver's License and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Standards are required.
