Project Controls Specialist

Brooksource is seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Outage and Project Management team, you will be responsible for supporting the execution and delivery of large capital projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage integrated project schedules in Primavera, ensuring schedule integrity and updating as required.
  • Assist in forecasting engineering and construction resource requirements, including early identification of long lead items and resource constraints.
  • Develop project estimates and ensure the accuracy of the estimate and scope of the project.
  • Create detailed project budgets and cash flow projections from reviewing project documentation.
  • Forecast engineering, construction, project management, and project control resource requirements.
  • Ensure proper resource loading and Critical Path Method Scheduling methods are used, recommending schedule improvement and corrective actions.
  • Develop and update project schedules, performing risk analysis throughout the project.
  • Responsible for reporting on the Capital Budget for ES monthly forecast and explanation of variances.
Requirements:
  • 6 years of work experience in project controls or a related field.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of Primavera scheduling, engineering, and construction project processes.
  • Leadership role in determining the appropriate methods and extent of controls for each project.
