Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Maintenance Account Manager to join our team at Big Tree, Inc. as a Commercial Landscape Operations Director. This role will be responsible for cultivating strong relationships with existing clients while supporting the Maintenance Production Manager in leading the day-to-day field team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operations Management: Develop, build, nurture, and maintain exceptional client relationships for a portfolio of commercial landscape customers. Provide proactive communication to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Scheduling and Planning: Proactively plan and communicate daily operational plans to ensure leaders and front-line crews execute the client's scope of work.
  • Customer Communication: Develop and communicate weekly client updates regarding operations and property needs.
  • Production Scheduling: Work with the Maintenance Production Manager to develop and maintain production schedules.
  • Proposal Creation: Create all client proposals.
  • Cost Optimization: Provide change recommendation options to reduce costs without sacrificing quality.
  • Quality Control: Conduct property quality assessments through onsite inspections to keep clients informed of work being performed, work scheduled, and other property needs.
  • Safety and Compliance: Communicate required Safety requirements and policies with team members; ensure follow-up and accountability for disseminating required information. Identify and recommend changes.
Financial Management:
  • Budget Ownership: Own and develop internal team budget.
  • Expense Management: Maintain desired profit margins while managing expenses to budget.
  • Job Progress Tracking: Diligently track job progress to facilitate complete and timely billing.
  • Client Budgeting: Build annual and multi-year client budgets.
  • Contract Management: Identify/generate/capture all signed SWOs, POs, and subcontracts.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree: Required.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a client-facing role; prior operations experience at a top 50 commercial landscape organization preferred.
  • Management Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of managing a team.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with ERP and/or Field Service Management software solutions for the green industry.
  • KPI Management: Prior experience establishing, implementing, and measuring KPIs.
  • Client Relationships: Excellent track record in establishing and maintaining client relationships.
  • Languages: Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Multitasking: Proven ability to multitask and juggle several responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Availability: Willingness to work long hours, including overtime and weekends, and assist with other projects as required.
  • Judgment and Integrity: Good judgment as related to all job functions; an eye for detail, strong work ethic, punctuality, and ethics.
  • Driver's License: Possess a valid and clean Florida driver's license.
  • Physical Requirements: Possess pertinent physical requirements commensurate with the job.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
