Job Summary:

As a Facilities Engineer at KBI Biopharma, you will be responsible for the coordination, modification, maintenance, and administration of company facilities and equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of facilities operations, maintenance, and engineering principles.

Key Responsibilities:

Direct concurrent engineering projects, ensuring technical and project management aspects meet their objectives.

Manage technical aspects, including architectural features, structural/civil, biotech process and laboratory equipment, HVAC, plant and clean utility systems, electrical power and lighting, and automation.

Oversee project management aspects, including scope definition, scope adherence, stakeholder concurrence, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, procurement, and installation support.

Support maintenance and facilities functions for multiple locations, including corrective and preventative maintenance, and repair of facilities, utilities, and ensuring compliance with local, state, federal, and corporate guidelines related to health, safety, and environmental functions.

Collaborate with the planning and execution of commissioning and validation protocols.

Support CAPA, Change Control, Deviation, Risk Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, and other Quality Systems.

Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and other procedures for installed systems.

Ensure compliance with engineering standards, drawing controls, project controls, and other procedures necessary for the successful operation of the department.

Requirements:

Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical, chemical, or electrical engineering, or a closely related technical discipline, with a minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible facilities development, facilities construction, and maintenance activities.

Experience in facilities management in a cGMP manufacturing environment (biotech, pharmaceutical, or medical device industries).

Knowledge of facilities operations typical to the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry.

Ability to work with toxic materials, toxic gases, electrical hazards, and dangerous tools and equipment. May need to travel between sites during the workday. Off-hours response time to system anomalies: 1 hour maximum. Non-routine weekend work may be required.

Salary Range:

$100,000 - $120,000

Salary range provided per current averages and expectations. The salary and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
