Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our X-Ray team at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for administering patient care practices, communicating effectively with patients, and assisting physicians in performing examinations.

Responsibilities:

Administer sound patient care practices according to hospital/department policies and procedures to ensure patient safety.
Communicate effectively with patients to obtain clinical history and informed consent.
Explain procedures to patients/families and answer questions to ease anxiety and assure patient cooperation.
Assist physicians in performing examinations using standard department protocols, isolation precautions, and/or sterile technique.
Demonstrate radiation protection/safety for patients, staff, and self as outlined in department protocols and regulatory guidelines.

Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited radiology school or program. Associates Degree preferred but not required.
2 years combined classroom and clinical training in radiology. Recent experience in a hospital/healthcare environment as a Radiologic Technologist/student.
BLS by the AHA; ARRT within 12 mo of hire.
