Perioperative Anesthesia Specialist

About the Role:
This position requires an Advanced Practice Provider (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) who is licensed in the state of North Carolina and board-certified if required by the Department. The ideal candidate will have completed a Nurse Anesthesia program accredited by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA). While prior experience is not necessary, strong skills and knowledge in anesthesia care are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients pre-operatively in a timely and efficient manner
- Develop and implement anesthesia plans of care, including explanations of risks and benefits to patients and families
- Meet annual departmental quality metrics for turnover times, on-time starts, and Quality Improvement submissions
- Contribute to performance improvement efforts, evaluating problem areas and implementing measures to enhance patient outcomes
