Sociology Professor

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Sociology Professor to join our faculty at Alabama A&M University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a range of sociology courses, advising students, and contributing to the department's research and service activities.

• Teach sociology courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including face-to-face and online formats.
• Advise students on academic and career choices, and provide guidance on research and professional development.
• Contribute to the department's research and service activities, including publishing in professional journals and participating in faculty governance.
• Develop and teach new courses, and participate in curriculum development and review.
• Assist with the recruitment of new students to the degree program.

• Ph.D. in Sociology or a related field from a regionally accredited university.
• At least 3 years of teaching experience, preferably at a four-year degree-granting institution.
• A record of publication in professional journals or ongoing research likely to result in publication in the near future.
• Experience advising students on academic and career choices.
