Job Summary

Cascadia Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Aide to join our team at Rockwood Respite in Portland, OR. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in implementing and monitoring treatment plans for residents in our residential facility, while promoting a Trauma-Informed Care environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to complete referrals and intake processes for incoming clients
  • Provide individual and group skills training, supervision, and support in areas such as self-care, hygiene, community resources, and life skills
  • Participate in regular supervision and act as Primary Treatment Coordinator, attending clinical case conferences and staff meetings to gain knowledge and communicate program and resident needs
  • Assist in crisis situations, following emergency protocols and coordinating with the treatment team to support a trauma-informed environment
  • Perform household chores, including meal setup, preparation, serving, and clean up, as well as light housekeeping and cleaning of biohazards
  • Accompany residents to medical appointments in the community and assist with daily living activities
Requirements
  • Level I requires no experience, while Level II requires QMHA certification or registration with MHACBO
  • Experience working in a residential facility and with individuals living with severe and persistent mental illness is desired
  • Ability to operate computer hardware and software, as well as learn and use electronic health record systems
  • Ability to pass a DMV check and drive is preferred
