Physical Therapist

As a Physical Therapist at Spaulding Hospital North Shore, you will provide high-quality physical therapy services to patients with impairments, functional limitations, or disabilities. You will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement effective treatment plans, educate patients and families, and manage technical, environmental, and financial resources efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate patients' physical therapy needs according to organizational and professional guidelines.
- Develop and revise treatment plans based on patient progress and discharge plans.
- Document patient information accurately and timely, adhering to facility and practice guidelines.
- Orient, train, and mentor therapy and healthcare students to achieve performance expectations.
- Identify and implement performance improvement opportunities to ensure best practices.
- Participate in additional department, organization, or network activities to achieve established objectives.
- Uphold the PCC Organizational Values of Innovation, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience for Advanced Clinician, 5 years for Clinical Specialist, and 10 years for Advanced Clinical Specialist.
- Licensed and in good standing as a physical therapist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Skills:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Basic skills in math and computer science.
- Appropriate knowledge of physical therapy evaluation and treatment techniques.
- Effective problem-solving skills for physical therapy evaluation, interpretation, treatment planning, and execution.
- Basic skills in teaching others and self-assessment of learning needs, strengths, and professional goals.
- Safe execution of job responsibilities without risking injury to self or patients.
- Computer proficiency, with Microsoft Office applications preferred.
- Ability to maintain a variable work schedule to provide patient care.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Highly developed communications and interpersonal skills, working with diverse populations.
- Ability to work independently, be self-directed, and contribute as a member of a team.
- Anticipation of challenges and development of strategies for addressing them.
- High level of service delivery, with ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing situations.
- Attention to detail.
