The University of Kentucky is seeking a Respiratory Technician II to join our Therapeutic Services team. This role will provide direct patient care for those therapies and patient care activities that are in the scope of student licensure per the KBRC.

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual who has completed at least two semesters of an accredited respiratory therapy program. The successful candidate will have obtained a student license from the Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care and will be primarily assigned shifts performing direct patient care. Additionally, they may also be assigned shifts performing EKGs in the ED or supporting equipment needs for the respiratory services department.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care for those therapies and patient care activities that are in the scope of student licensure per the KBRC.
  • Perform EKGs in the ED as needed.
  • Support equipment cleaning and reprocessing as well as cylinder storage rounds as needed during a shift.
Requirements
  • Must have completed at least two semesters of an accredited respiratory therapy program.
  • Obtained a student license from the Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care.
  • Knowledge commensurate with a respiratory therapy student who has completed two semesters of an accredited program.
Work Environment

This position is located in Lexington, KY and requires working on-call shifts as determined by department needs.

Salary Information

The estimated salary range for this position is $17.50 - $24.50 per hour, based on location and experience.
