As a Retail Operations Manager in Goodwill Southern California, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of a Retail Store, Boutique or Attended Donation Center (ADC). This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. You will lead a team to achieve established goals for sales, production, customer service, payroll, safety, and expense control, while closely collaborating with the Site Manager to achieve standards and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and inventory management.
  • Lead and train a team of Ambassadors to meet sales, production, and customer service goals, while maintaining Goodwill's high standards and values.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, engage with customers and donors, and promote Goodwill's mission and RISE values.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to company policies and procedures, and reporting any concerns or incidents to management.
  • Serve as a role model, coach, and mentor to Ambassadors, promoting Goodwill's values and standards.
  • Monitor and maintain salesfloor, production area, structural, electrical, store equipment, landscaping, housekeeping, loss prevention, and safety to company standards.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience in a customer-focused management role.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, college degree helpful.
  • Ability to multitask projects of varying scope and complexity with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent communication, training, developing, and people skills.
  • Demonstrated success with process accountability and multitasking.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Punctual and dependable attendance.
  • Free from alcohol and drug abuse.
