This figure is based on industry standards and the location of our church in Branford, CT.

Job Description

The Central Security Director will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our campuses and activities. This position involves collaborating with Campus Pastors and Security Team leaders, providing relevant training, and continuously improving security measures.

Mission:

  • Cultivate healthy Security Team recruiting rhythms and practices.
  • Develop training packages for onboarding, specialized training, and refreshers.
  • Regularly refine our Emergency Operations Procedures (EOPs) and Security Team Handbook with best practices and lessons learned.
  • Manage comprehensive security plans for services and church events.
  • Conduct quarterly security assessments and update documentation accordingly.
  • Recruit Security Teams for regional and all-church events.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents.
  • Oversee Vox's Security Roundtable, which acts as a steering committee for policy and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with local law enforcement, security professionals to ensure effective coordination and response to security-related matters.

  • Willingness to become an active member at Vox Church.
  • High attention to detail and alertness to potential threats.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in administrative tasks, such as scheduling, coordination, and developing procedures.
  • Knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in security management, emergency response, or law enforcement.

Work Details

This position reports to the Operations Pastor and requires a flexible schedule, including Sunday mornings and some evenings to support events or trainings.
