Job Opportunity:

Northshire Bookstore is seeking a full-time Gift Product Specialist for its flagship Manchester, VT location.

This role involves managing our curated selection of merchandise, including gifts, games, puzzles, housewares, clothing and accessories. Retail experience is highly preferred.

We're looking for someone enthusiastic and able to engage with people. Key responsibilities include handselling, shelving, inventory management, and operating Point of Sale computer systems.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and maintain order and neatness in all merchandise areas on and off the sales floor. This includes restocking the previous day's sales prior to store opening, keeping all merchandise well stocked, neat & organized, and checking in on high traffic areas throughout the day.

About the Role:
- Restock Adult and Children's gift, stationery & non-book merchandise
- Maintain organization and order in the backstock areas
- Work closely with the gift buyer
- Be a positive presence on the sales floor when assisting customers
- Assist buyer with displays
- Set up Sidewalk Sale twice a year
- Maintain accurate inventory numbers all year long and assist with physical inventory

Preferred Schedule:
Sunday-Thursday 7a -3p
