Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative IT Procurement Manager to join our dynamic team at Orion Group Holdings. As a key member of our IT department, you will play a critical role in transforming our IT operations from a reactive break-and-fix model to a strategic partner that drives business innovation through technology.

Responsibilities

As an IT Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of technicians in the IT asset team, developing and implementing procurement and asset management strategies, and managing the entire asset lifecycle for all IT assets. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of all IT assets, developing and implementing IT asset management policies, and maintaining an updated listing of approved standard equipment and software.

Financial Responsibilities

You will track and monitor actual monthly spending vs. budget for the department, analyze IT spending, and propose and create the annual IT budget based on past spending and forecast.

Procurement and Contract Management

You will manage the purchasing and receiving process, ensure each purchase is cost-effective, and help create approval for expenditures. You will also be responsible for validating and coding all IT-related invoices to appropriate accounting standards.

Vendor Management and Contract Lifecycle Management

You will establish policies, standards, processes, and templates for working with vendors, create and maintain the vendor evaluation process, and conduct initial onboarding vendor evaluation and annual review for critical vendors.

Security and Facilities Management

You will ensure all IT assets are properly secured and protected from unauthorized access, monitor and ensure all IT assets are properly patched, and research new security options that can be implemented across all assets.

Requirements

We are looking for a highly self-motivated and directed individual with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain, or Finance, or equivalent 5-year experience plus current certifications, such as ITAM and ITIL. You must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in IT and a proven track record of success, specifically in managing assets, vendor relationships, and software licenses. You must also have excellent research, analytical, and reporting skills, especially with Excel or other BI tools.

Other Requirements

You must be able to work in a customer-focused IT team with a strong 'Users First' and 'Business Enabler' mentality, be willing to be on call and occasionally work nights, weekends, or holidays, and occasional travel to support company needs and to remain current with applications and vendor relations.
