Job Overview

Hunton Group, a leading organization in the Hunton Trane division of Houston, TX (www.huntongroup.com), is seeking an experienced BAS Controls Technician. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Building Automation Systems (BAS) Controls Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commissioning, programming, and setup of graphics, communications links, and end-to-end testing for assigned projects.
  • Installation, diagnosis, repair, and programming of HVAC equipment based on blueprints and engineering specifications.
  • Performing preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacements, and modifications as needed by customers.
  • Maintaining various HVAC equipment by inspecting for signs of wear, maladjustment, miscalibration, malfunction, and drift.
  • Determining parts to order for repairs and their timely need.
  • Documenting and maintaining paperwork for each job.
  • Representing the company as a direct contact for customers.
  • Providing technical assistance and guidance to HVAC Field Technicians.
  • Utilizing project plans to prioritize and schedule work sequences.
  • Offering technical support and training to customers.
  • Staying current on Trane products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair of direct digital control systems.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent, or certificate of completion from an accredited technical school is required. Typically requires at least 7 years of experience in HVAC/Controls. Technical School or formal training is preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with Trane Summit systems to include programming Summit systems.
  • Field experience in installation techniques and servicing/repairing BAS Equipment.

Estimated Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on location and experience.
