Job Description:

This part-time, temporary position is available in the Earth Sciences and Astronomy Department at Mt. San Antonio College. The successful candidate will teach courses in basic astronomy to a diverse student population.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach astronomy courses for the Earth Sciences and Astronomy Department
  • Assist in the growth and success of students through careful preparation of course materials and effective teaching methods
  • Meet minimum qualifications as outlined below
Minimum Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must possess a Master's degree in physics, astronomy, or astrophysics from a regionally accredited institution. Alternatively, they may have a Bachelor's degree in physics or astronomy and a Master's degree in engineering, mathematics, meteorology, or geophysics. A California Community College credential authorizing service as an instructor in the appropriate discipline is also acceptable.

Estimated Salary:
