City Year is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community School Director to join our team. As a Community School Director, you will be responsible for implementing the Whole School Whole Child model in a targeted school, working closely with school leadership, teachers, and community partners to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a team of AmeriCorps members to implement the Whole School Whole Child model
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with school leadership, teachers, and community partners
  • Develop and implement data-driven strategies to improve student attendance, behavior, and academic performance
  • Manage and oversee the implementation of expanded learning time (ELT) and afterschool programs
  • Collaborate with school staff to identify and address student needs, and develop and implement targeted interventions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience building and growing complex professional relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to create high-integrity documents
  • Experience with peer management, managing up, and managing across
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
