Company Overview: American Family Care (AFC) is a leading provider of urgent care, accessible primary care, and occupational medicine. Our state-of-the-art centers offer convenient, patient-centric healthcare services seven days a week on a walk-in basis.

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will work collaboratively with other providers and staff to ensure efficient patient flow and a high level of patient satisfaction. The APP will perform comprehensive medical assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide instructions and guidance regarding health care and health care promotion to patients/family/significant others.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform complete, detailed, and accurate health histories, review patient records, and order laboratory, radiological, and diagnostic studies as needed
• Formulate medical and nursing diagnoses and institute therapy or referrals to appropriate healthcare facilities, agencies, and resources
• Provide emergency measures and emergency treatment in situations such as cardiac arrest, shock, hemorrhage, convulsions, poisoning, and allergic reactions
• Interpret and analyze patient data to determine patient status, management, and treatment
• Supervise and lead all PAs and NPs as assigned

Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Excellent communication skills with staff, patients, and family
• Professional appearance and attitude
• ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA Board Certified
• Active and current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of practice, DEA number, and state-controlled substance certificate as required
• Able to multi-task and work independently
• DOT Certified
• Urgent Care experience
• OCCMED / WC Experience
