Job DescriptionAs a Heavy Equipment Mechanic at Commonwealth Equipment, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical issues, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring our rental fleet and customer equipment are in good operating condition.
You will work closely with our Service Coordinator to schedule and prioritize work, and will be expected to document all work done, time spent, and materials used.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with heavy equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance, including routine checks and repairs
- Work with the Service Coordinator to schedule and prioritize work
- Document all work done, time spent, and materials used
- Represent the company in a positive, professional manner
- 4 years of experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance
- Knowledge of hydraulics, diesel engines, and welding
- Valid driver's license
- Punctual and reliable
- Proficiency with required technology, including iOS and MS Windows products
- Strong communication skills
- MSHA certification preferred
