About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Nursing Lead ACT Professional to join our team at the Richmond Behavioral Health Authority. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will be responsible for leading and supervising nursing duties on our ACT team, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to OSHA standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead oversight of all nursing duties on the ACT team and medication preparation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Obtain physician orders, order medications, collaborate with pharmacy services, and assist with preauthorization requests for medication refills.
  • Administer medications intramuscularly and orally, complete medically related assessments, and perform vital signs measurements.
  • Draw blood, perform urine drug screens, label specimens, administer and interpret TB tests, and process gel top blood tubes via centrifuge.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of daily activities, including nursing, treatment services, crisis intervention, case management, reimbursement, and productivity statistics.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings as required, coordinate scheduling of nursing services, and respond to medical emergencies.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in professional nursing, with knowledge of principles, standards, practices, and techniques of nursing care.
  • The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, supervisors, directors, medical personnel, community partners, vendors, associates, and the general public.
  • An Associate's degree in nursing or equivalent experience, with moderate experience working with individuals with mental illnesses.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license in the Commonwealth of Virginia and current licensure as a Registered Nurse issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience, ranging from $65,000 to over $90,000 per year. Additionally, qualifying staff may be eligible for a $7,500 sign-on bonus as defined by the terms and conditions of our approved sign-on bonus policy.
