Welder Job Description

At Milwaukee Tool, we are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various welding tasks, including MIG and TIG welding, to assemble and disassemble metal parts.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Physical Abilities: The work requires standing for long periods, holding a welding torch, and lifting heavy objects. The candidate must have stamina, excellent eye-hand coordination, and steady hands.
2. Math Skills: The welder will need to read blueprints and interpret sketches, requiring good math skills and spatial reasoning.
3. Attention to Detail: The candidate must have good attention to detail to notice any damage or corrosion on the metal parts.
4. Inspection Tools: The ability to read and understand Ring gauges, Micrometers, Calipers, and Bore Gages is essential.
5. Welding Types: The candidate should have good knowledge of MIG and TIG welding, as well as Arc welding.

Requirements:
- Specialized training at a high school, vocational school, or community college, or on-the-job training.
- Knowledge of CNC machines is a plus.
