Solar Energy Sales Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Sales Manager to join our team in the North America region, specifically covering the West region. This role is responsible for the growth and expansion of our solar energy sales within the defined territory.
In this position, you will promote our product lines in the field of solar energy to core customers, establish professional relationships with key personnel in customer accounts, and meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, particularly in the industrial B2B environment, with a minimum of 5 years of experience. A degree in a management or science-related field, such as Environmental Science, Engineering, or Business, is an asset.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a plan to maximize time in the field with customers and prospects.
- Negotiate and execute contracts and customer-specific project initiatives through various internal departments.
- Use metrics, KPI, and forecasting to self-manage productivity and meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume.
- Develop, nurture, and understand the health of the customer opportunity funnel.
- 5+ years of sales/commercial experience in industrial B2B environment, solar energy experience is a plus.
- BA or BSc degree in a management or science-related field, such as Environmental Science, Engineering, or Business, is an asset.
- Demonstrated relational and presentation skills, including ability to communicate with people of various technical backgrounds.
- Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in the use of a CRM tool for funnel management and forecasting.
- Ability to travel ~50% of the time within the west region with a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
