About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Survey Crew Chief to join our team at Phasor Engineering Inc. As a Survey Crew Chief, you will be responsible for leading field survey activities, including obtaining survey measurements and staking for infrastructure construction.

This is a long-term opportunity for work on larger scale construction projects in Canada and the United States. You will be part of a fast-paced working environment with large scale engineering and construction projects, using new leading-edge technology and equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily field survey activities, including obtaining survey measurements and staking for infrastructure construction.
  • Communicate effectively and regularly with Field Leads, Project Managers, Professional Land Surveyors, and Client Field Representatives.
  • Interpret design drawings, field data, field sketches, and base maps.
  • Coordinate field crew's daily activities and supervise, mentor, and train survey assistants.
  • Will be required to travel based on project location.
Requirements
  • Previous survey experience in engineering, construction, or industrial surveys.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a 'clean' driving record.
  • Technical diploma in Geomatics or Civil Engineering is preferred.
