Job Summary

The Network Specialist role at Marriott International requires advanced knowledge of technology and sound business acumen to support property and technology objectives. The successful candidate will assist with technology planning, implementation, and maintenance while interfacing with vendors and property staff.

This role involves managing the life cycle of technology assets, identifying and resolving network performance problems, and verifying security procedures are implemented and enforced based on Marriott International Corporate Security guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Manage technology/asset life-cycle, ensuring necessary equipment is ordered and available.">
  • Serve as technical analyst for design and implementation of administrative and customer Local and Wide Area Network architecture.">
  • Identify and resolve network and system(s)' performance problems.">
  • Assist Director of iT for disaster recovery and business continuity related to Local and Wide Area Networks.">
  • Verify technology assets are secure and well-maintained according to Marriott International policies and standards.">

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Computer Science or a related major and 5 years' experience in a related professional area, or a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related major and 3 years' experience in a related professional area.

Prior experience supporting highly complex units and IT Global Field Services or Marriott Systems Support is desirable.
