Key Responsibilities

As a Systems Engineer III at Blue Origin, you will play a critical role in the development and integration of our reusable space vehicles. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Utilizing systems engineering principles and tools to design, develop, and test spacecraft systems.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of spacecraft systems.
  • Developing and maintaining system requirements, interfaces, and architectures.
  • Performing system-level trade studies and analysis to optimize spacecraft performance.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or Physics.
  • At least 5 years of experience in systems engineering, preferably in the aerospace industry.
  • Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles, tools, and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or Physics.
  • Experience with spacecraft design, development, and testing.
  • Knowledge of software tools such as DOORS, MATLAB/Simulink, Confluence, JIRA, Git, Creo, and Windchill.
  • Experience with system safety analysis and reliability engineering.
