Job Title: Family Physician with Obstetrics

Job Summary:

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a mission-driven Family Physician with Obstetrics experience to provide primary medical care services to patients in accordance with training, experience, certification, insurance, and licensure. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with staff to provide team-based coordinated care, prescribe and/or dispense required medication, and participate in organizing and directing preventive health programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality comprehensive services to Sea Mar patients as part of a care team.
  • Provide primary medical care services to patients in accordance with training, experience, certification, insurance, and licensure.
  • Provide appropriate hospital and institutional care as required for OB coverage.
  • Refer patients to medical specialists or other sources of service when necessary.
  • Prescribe and/or dispense required medication to patients according to individual prescriptive authority.
  • Participate in organizing and directing preventive health programs, including educational programs for patients and community groups.
  • Participate in clinical affairs to improve the patient care experience.
  • Assure accurate and timely completion of all clinical records and necessary paperwork for patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed MD or DO.
  • Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA approved post-graduate residency; board certification in the appropriate specialty or actively seeking board certification.
  • A current DEA certificate.
  • Uphold all current vaccine requirements for employment.
  • Bilingual ability in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
  • Prior community health experience is preferred.
